Martin Mirchev 47605bb2cd avcodec/jpegxl_parser: fix handling of special ISOBMFF box sizes
skip_boxes() treated a box of size 0 and an empty box (size equal to
the header size) as invalid. jpegxl_parse() then set ctx->next to -1,
which disables the search for the end of the image for the rest of the
stream, so all following images were merged into a single packet,
which is only output at EOF.

An empty box is valid and is now skipped. A box of size 0 extends to
the end of the file, so the rest of the stream belongs to the current
image; keep that behaviour, but explicitly. Boxes too large to track
are treated the same way, as before. A box smaller than its header is
invalid: log an error and end the current image at that box instead
of silently swallowing the rest of the stream.

FFmpeg README

FFmpeg is a collection of libraries and tools to process multimedia content such as audio, video, subtitles and related metadata.

Libraries

  • libavcodec provides implementation of a wider range of codecs.
  • libavformat implements streaming protocols, container formats and basic I/O access.
  • libavutil includes hashers, decompressors and miscellaneous utility functions.
  • libavfilter provides means to alter decoded audio and video through a directed graph of connected filters.
  • libavdevice provides an abstraction to access capture and playback devices.
  • libswresample implements audio mixing and resampling routines.
  • libswscale implements color conversion and scaling routines.

Tools

  • ffmpeg is a command line toolbox to manipulate, convert and stream multimedia content.
  • ffplay is a minimalistic multimedia player.
  • ffprobe is a simple analysis tool to inspect multimedia content.
  • Additional small tools such as aviocat, ismindex and qt-faststart.
