Both libavfilter and libswscale currently put framepool.o in their regular
OBJS, defining the same four ff_frame_pool_* symbols. Loading both static
archives in full therefore fails with multiple definitions.
Move the implementation and internal header to libavutil. Include the
object in its STLIBOBJS when either consumer is enabled, and use SHLIBOBJS
for the private copies in libavfilter and libswscale. This preserves
independent builds and shared-library symbol visibility without adding
an inter-library dependency or exposing a new public API.
Verified whole-archive links with both consumers, and with each consumer
configured independently. Shared builds pass fate-filter-rgbtestsrc-gbrp12
and fate-filter-rgbtestsrc-gbrap12; static and shared video scaling and
audio volume smoke tests produce identical frame checksums. Also checked
static consumers linked against shared dependencies.

This commit just adds the public facing struct definitions and side data.
The struct follows ISO 21496-1 exactly, with a validation function to check
for representable and legal values.

Exercise integer types and widths, unsigned wraparound, failed-CAS
writeback, pointer qualifier forms, bool normalization and atomic_flag
against whichever backend configure selects. Print actual results for
comparison with tests/ref/fate/atomic.
Keep expected values non-atomic, sequence dependent operations before
printing, and retry weak CAS so spurious failure does not change FATE
output. Load function pointers into an ordinary local before calling.
Validated with GCC 13 and Clang 18 at O0/O3 under ASan+UBSan for native
and dummy atomics on AArch64. Native and forced-dummy focused builds
pass fate-atomic and fate-buffer. Windows compilation of this amended
test has not been independently repeated.

Test av_dynamic_hdr_plus_alloc, av_dynamic_hdr_plus_create_side_data,
av_dynamic_hdr_plus_to_t35 in all three documented modes (size
query, caller-allocated, existing caller-owned buffer) including
the AVERROR_BUFFER_TOO_SMALL path, and av_dynamic_hdr_plus_from_t35
as a round-trip inverse.
Two HDR10+ fixtures are used. The first is a conforming
ST 2094-40:2020 ApplicationVersion 1 payload: one processing
window, the nine distribution maxrgb percentiles required by
section 8.5.4, and neither actual-peak-luminance item nor
ColorSaturationWeight, both excluded for that version by section
9.4. The second is marked in the source as deliberately
non-conforming and exists only to reach the optional
serializer/parser branches: a second processing window with its
geometry, both actual-peak-luminance matrices, per-window tone
mapping and color saturation. Every field either fixture
populates is decoded and printed, so a serializer or parser that
drops or corrupts a value changes the reference rather than
passing a flag-only check.
Also test that av_dynamic_hdr_plus_to_t35 ignores
application_version and always writes the CTA-861-H value, the
NULL and oversized error paths, and
av_dynamic_hdr_smpte2094_app5_alloc,
av_dynamic_hdr_smpte2094_app5_create_side_data and the App5
to_t35 / from_t35 round trip over four fixtures covering both
early-out paths (no adaptive tone map, reference-white tone
mapping) and both sides of the component mixing and gain curve
selectors: per-image parameters with component mixing type 3 and
explicit control point slopes, and common parameters shared from
alternate 0 with a mixing type other than 3 and the pchip slope.
The App5 to_t35 validation failures and the OOM paths via
av_max_alloc are covered as well.

Remove the static supported_formats[] allowlist from hwcontext_cuda.
cuda_frames_get_constraints() now iterates all registered pixel formats
and includes every non-hwaccel, non-palette format. cuda_frames_init()
validates with av_pix_fmt_desc_get() instead of checking against the
allowlist.
Palette formats have a special-cased use of plane[1] for the palette itself
and it's not worth the hassle of supporting in an otherwise clean generic
copy loop.
Also add a roundtrip test that uploads a deterministic byte pattern to
CUDA, downloads it back, and verifies the data match. This tests all
non-hwaccel pixel formats. The test is gated on CONFIG_CUDA.
Test av_video_hint_alloc with 0, 1, and 4 rects, and
av_video_hint_create_side_data. Verifies that av_video_hint_rects

rect_offset and rect_size, write/read-back of rect coordinates,
both hint type values, and OOM paths via av_max_alloc.
Coverage for libavutil/video_hint.c: 0.00% -> 82.05%

checks that a garbage desc returns AVCOL_PRI_UNSPECIFIED, and that
out-of-range enum values return NULL or 0.0 as documented. The

Adds hwcontext_amf, enabling a shared AMF context for encoders,
decoders, and AMF-based filters, without copy to the host memory.
Code also was tested in HandBrake.
Benefits:
- Optimizations for direct video memory access from CPU
- Significant performance boost in full AMF pipelines with filters
- Integration of GPU filters like VPP, Super Resolution, and
Compression Artefact Removal(in future plans)
- VCN power management control for decoders.
- Ability to specify which VCN instance to use for decoding
(like for encoder)
- AMD will soon introduce full AMF API for multimedia accelerator MA35D
- With AMF API, integration will be much easier:
GPU and the accelerator will have the same API
- including encoder, decoder, scaler, color converter,
Windows and Linux.

Changes by versions:
v2: Header file cleanup.
v3: Removed an unnecessary class.
v4: code cleanup and improved error handling
v5: Fixes related to HandBrake integration.
v6: Sequential filters error and memory leak have been fixed.
This can be useful in other places, e.g. it can replace objpool in
fftools.
The API is modified in the following nontrivial ways:
* opaque pointers can be passed through to all user callbacks
* read and write were previously separate callbacks in order to
accomodate the caller wishing to write a new reference to the FIFO and
keep the original one; the two callbacks are now merged into one, and
a flags argument is added that allows to request such behaviour on a
per-call basis
* new peek and drain functions
The code is not currently used by libavutil, its just where our
common Vulkan code is.
Since SPIR-V compilation will be needed by lavc, move it, rather
than having lavc including lavfi.
av_ts_make_time_string() used "%.6g" format, but this format was losing
precision even when the timestamp to be printed was not that large. For example
for 3 hours (10800) seconds, only 1 decimal digit was printed, which made this
format inaccurate when it was used in e.g. the silencedetect filter. Other
detection filters printing timestamps had similar issues. Also time base
parameter of the function was *AVRational instead of AVRational.
Resolve these problems by introducing a new function, av_ts_make_time_string2().
We change the used format to "%.*f", use a precision of 6, except when printing
values near 0, in which case we calculate the precision dynamically to aim for
a similar precision in normal form as with %.6g. No longer using scientific
representation can make parsing the timestamp easier for the users, we can
safely do this because the theoretical maximum of INT64_MAX*INT32_MAX still
fits into the string buffer in normal form.
We somewhat imitate %g by trimming ending zeroes and the potential decimal
point characters. In order not to trim "inf" as well, we assume that the
decimal point string does not contain the letter "f". Note that depending on
printf %f implementation, we might trim "infinity" to "inf".

The temporary AVFrame on staack enables us to use the common
dependency/dispatch code in prepare_frame().
The prepare_frame() function is used for both frame initialization
and frame import/export queue family transfer operations.
In the former case, no AVFrame exists yet, so, as this is purely
libavutil code, we create a temporary frame on stack. Otherwise,
we'd need to allocate multiple frames somewhere, one for each
possible command buffer dispatch.
libavutil/color_utils contains some avpriv_ symbols that map
enum AVTransferCharacteristic values to gamma-curve approximations and
to the actual transfer functions to invert them (i.e. -> linear).
There's two issues with this:
(1) avpriv is evil and should be avoided whenever possible
(2) libavutil/csp.h exposes a public API for handling color that
already handles primaries and matricies
I don't see any reason this API has to be private, so this commit takes
the functionality from avutil/color_utils and merges it into avutil/csp
with an exposed av_ API rather than the previous avpriv_ API.
Every reference to the previous API has been updated to point to the
new one. color_utils.h has been deleted as well. This should not break
any applications as it only contained avpriv_ symbols in the first
place, so nothing in that header could be referenced by other
applications.
